Just like how Lexus Malaysia quietly added the Lexus RX 500h Sport Special to the Malaysian market, they have upgraded the line-up with a new NX variant – the Lexus NX 350h Luxury. This was found when we visited Lexus Malaysia’s official website.
This new NX variant comes with the signature Spindle Grille paired with sharp and angular headlights that come with Ultra Slim 3-Beam LED Projectors. The daytime running lights (DRL) are placed above the headlights in the form of an L.
At the rear, the taillights are given a sharp line with an L design and a full-width bar. Other features include the roof spoiler and roof rails. Altogether, the design elements give the SUV an aggressive and sporty stance.
Inside, the Lexus NX 350h Luxury comes with leather seats and 64-colour ambient lighting. The cabin features a 14-inch screen for entertainment which is integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has a three-spoke steering wheel that comes with paddle shifters. Other features include 10 Lexus Premium Audio speakers and eight-way power adjustments to the seats.
As for the powertrain, it features a hybrid system, comprising a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) engine that is paired with a dual Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It gives an output of 243 horsepower and 239Nm of torque. The SUV completes the century sprint in 7.7 seconds with a top speed of 200km/h. Furthermore, the automaker claims that it has a fuel consumption of five litres per 100km.
The Lexus NX 350h Luxury comes with a list of safety features starting with the Lexus Safety System+ which comprises a Front Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Keeping System, Hill-start Assist, Downhill Assist Control System (DAC), and many more. It also has seven SRS airbags.
In terms of pricing, the Lexus comes with a hefty starting price tag of RM395,888. This car is priced RM5,000 more than the Lexus NX 350 F SPORT, which was launched in Malaysia in May 2022.
