Apple has introduced AppleCare One, a new warranty service plan that covers up to three products for a fixed monthly price. Customers also have the option to add more devices to this protection plan for an additional cost per item.
AppleCare One essentially offers the same benefits as AppleCare+, which include unlimited repairs for damage caused by accidents like drops and spills. Other perks are 24/7 priority support from experts, as well as servicing and battery coverage. Aside from that, products in this plan also get coverage for theft and loss, which was previously exclusive to iPhone plans.

According to the company, customers can add products that they already own to the protection plan, even when the 60-day window to purchase AppleCare+ has passed. Of course, there are a few requirements that must be met for the device to be eligible. Firstly, it must be under four years old, or in the case of headphones, less than one year old. Moreover, it must be in good condition and in the customer’s Apple account.
Apple also notes that customers can directly trade in products that are covered under the plan to the company. The enrolled product will be automatically removed from the AppleCare One plan, with the new device replacing it.

At the moment, AppleCare One is only available in the US and is priced at US$19.99 (~RM84.40) a month, with each additional device costing another US$5.99 (~RM25.30) regardless of whether it’s an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. It is unclear when the company will expand the plan to other regions.
