Last week, Google confirmed that it is unveiling the Pixel 10 series at its Made by Google event on 20 August. After being inundated with rumours and leaks ahead of the launch, we’re finally getting the first official look at one of the models in the lineup.
The US Google Store was recently updated with a new header promoting the launch of the Pixel 10 series, promising an exclusive offer for new subscribers. The header also features a brief video showing a “10” transforming into a camera bar. The video then zooms out to show the rear view of a smartphone, which more or less resembles the Pixel 9.
That said, it is somewhat unclear whether the device depicted here is the base variant or one of the pro models. The camera bump features three lenses, which would typically mean that it’s one of the higher end versions. However, there have been whispers of Google adding a third camera to the base Pixel 10, so it is not unreasonable to assume that this is indeed the base model.
Prior to the release of the teaser, Android Headlines posted a set of renders showing the Pixel 10. The renders feature the phone in four colours, which are reportedly called Obsidian, Indigo, Frost, and Limoncello. Android Headlines also shared an image comparing the Pixel 10 and Pixel 9, highlighting the slight differences in the camera bar.
It is worth mentioning that the Pixel 10 teaser can be seen on Google’s store page for different regions and not just the US. However, at the time of writing, the local site has yet to feature any mention of the lineup.
