The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has officially announced IMMERSE KL 2025, with the appointment of CelcomDigi as the official partner. Scheduled to take place on 24 July 2025 at the Connexion Conference & Event Centre (CCEC) in Kuala Lumpur, the event will feature a wide range of showcases and discussions centred around extended reality (XR), virtual production, gamification, immersive storytelling, and Web3.
With the theme “Dive into the Future: Envisioning Creative Tech and the Metaverse,” the 2025 edition marks IMMERSE KL’s shift from the Malaysia Digital Content Festival (MYDCF) into a standalone platform for cross-sector exploration of emerging technologies. Organisers expect more than 300 participants and over 120 companies from Malaysia and across the region to attend.
CelcomDigi, serving as the event’s official partner, will present several real-world use cases of XR and 5G technology across various industries during the event. These include:
- CelcomDigi Metaversity™, an XR-powered immersive learning platform
- Industrial Metaverse applications for training, simulation, and remote support
- Healthcare solutions featuring 3D DICOM visualisation for medical environments.

The event will also feature keynote addresses, panel sessions, and workshops covering XR’s impact on areas such as education, digital twin applications, tourism, cultural preservation, and the creative industries. In addition to CelcomDigi, other sponsors include Freedome by the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisation (MAPIM), UnBound Malaysia, Virtual X and Pixljaya Digital Media & Entertainment, Monolith Technologies, and more.
Registration for IMMERSE KL 2025 is now open via its official website. Admission for this event is free and open to all.
