Honda unveiled its Super EV concept at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed (FOS). This marks the first appearance of the car globally. Additionally, the A-segment EV also completed the 1.856 km hill climb course during the event. A snippet of the run was posted on YouTube by Goodwood Road & Racing.
Although the car was unveiled with its purple camouflage, there were many design elements that were revealed. For one, the front fascia features round headlights and round rings of daytime-running lights, giving it a retro look.
The charging port for the car seems to be placed at the front, the same as the Honda e:N1. At the rear, the concept has square-shaped tail-lights and a roof spoiler. As for the interior, as usual, the automaker has yet to unveil it.
There is also no information on the performance specs; however, based on the video, it is safe to say that the Super EV concept has sharp and agile performance. This is because, from the video, it can be seen that the car tackles the corners with very little to no body roll despite being boxy. This also speaks to the stability of the EV concept.
According to Honda, the Super EV concept has been testing on the roads of the United Kingdom (UK) prior to its debut at the FOS. It is also slated for production; however, the launch dates are yet to be revealed.
Alongside the Super EV concept, Honda also displayed the Honda 0 SUV prototype, Prelude prototype, CR-V e:PHEV, refreshed HR-V and Civic Type R.
