Mercedes-Benz Vans, Hap Seng Trucks Distribution (HSTD), has officially launched the facelift Mercedes-Benz EQV 300. Priced at RM450,000, the all-electric MPV marks the first model to be introduced under HSTD’s banner. Notably, it arrives in the premium AVANTGARDE specification.
The exterior of the car comes with adaptive Multibeam LED headlights and chrome trim at the front. As for the rear, it features vertical LED tail lamps integrated into the D-pillars and a large rear window. Completing the exterior are the new 17-inch alloy wheels.
The interior features seats with Lugano leather upholstery and ambient lighting with 64 options. As for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, it is covered by the dual 12.3-inch wide screens. To enhance the premium feel, the automaker included the Burmester® surround sound system, which comes with 15 speakers and a bass reflex box. Moreover, the sound is delivered to every seat of the car through a multichannel surround sound technology.
The EQV 300 is powered by a front-mounted electric motor that is paired with a 90 kWh usable lithium-ion battery. Together, the powertrain produces 150 kW (204 PS) and 365 Nm of torque and a NEDC range of 418 km. Furthermore, it has a top speed of 160 km/h.
The MPV takes 40 minutes to replenish from 10% to 80% with a 110 kW DC fast charger. Meanwhile, for AC charging, it supports 11 kW. The EQV 300 also comes with four driving options: Comfort, Sport, Eco, and Maximum Range (ECO+).
Furthermore, on the safety front, the Mercedes-Benz has a list of features. The ones that are to be noted are the Blind Spot Assist, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Tyre Pressure Monitoring, and Attention Assist. It also has a Parking Package that includes a 360° camera and Active Parking Assist.
In conjunction with the EQV 300’s debut, HSTD is offering a special introductory package for early customers. This includes a complimentary Mercedes-Benz Wallbox charger, three years of free scheduled maintenance, and a RM10,000 booking rebate. Other than that, the EQV 300 is backed by a two-year warranty or 200,000 km (whichever comes first), while the high-voltage battery is covered for up to eight years or 160,000 km.
