The Chinese EV brand Zeekr has officially announced the establishment of Zeekr Intelligent Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. This is the brand’s national sales company (NSC), which means the automaker will now be responsible for operations within the country.

The NSC company will directly oversee wholesale operations, dealer network expansion, branding and marketing activities, as well as aftersales operations throughout Malaysia. The Managing Director of Zeekr Southeast Asia, Alex Bao, pointed out that this establishment is an important step in the brand’s journey.

“I strongly believe it will allow Zeekr to better connect with our customers — to listen to their voices, understand their needs, and serve them with greater care,” he added. “This also reinforces our long-term commitment to Malaysia, with three key focus areas: expanding network availability, enhancing aftersales services and increasing marketing investment.”

Alongside this announcement, the EV company also mentioned that it will be establishing eight additional authorised showrooms. As of now, there are only two showrooms of the brand in Malaysia – in Petaling Jaya and in IOI Mall Puchong.

The eight new showrooms will be established across Malaysia in collaboration with the company’s local partners — Sentinel Automotive Sdn. Bhd. (Zeekr’s official importer and dealer), Preeminent Auto, and Carro. The new showrooms will be launched in July 2025 at Bandar Sunway, Selangor and Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, Kuala Lumpur.

Additional showrooms in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur; Skudai, Johor Bahru; and Penang are scheduled to open by the third quarter of 2025. The final phase will see showrooms opening in Seremban, Melaka and Ipoh by the fourth quarter of 2025.
