Xiaomi is set to host its Human x Car x Home launch event soon, where it will unveil a variety of new products. Ahead of time, the company has invited members of the media – including Lowyat.NET – for a quick guided tour of its headquarters in Haidian District in Beijing, China. The tour took us through the Xiaomi Headquarters Store on the first floor, Xiaomi HQ Mi Home, and the R&D Labs.

The first stop is the Xiaomi Headquarters Store, which features a show floor where the brand’s latest electric vehicles are on display. Of course, front and centre is the soon-to-be-launched YU7 SUV in all its green glory. But also not to be missed is the SU7 Ultra, which was launched earlier this year.

Next, we were given an overview of the company’s recently released gadgets. Among the devices exhibited is the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, complete with its photography kit. And naturally, there is a dedicated section for the electronics equipped with the brand’s first in-house chipset, including the Xiaomi 15S Pro and Pad 7 Ultra.

We were then taken to the second floor, where the Xiaomi HQ Mi Home is located. Here, we were treated to an IKEA-esque experience zone of the company’s AIoT ecosystem, which encompasses a wide range of smart home products. The tour guides demonstrated how specific voice commands can be used to simultaneously control various devices and appliances.

Next, we were given a rundown on the company’s history and milestones, told with the aid of some pictures. This part of the tour highlighted the brand’s beginnings, its first launched smartphone, and the SU7 Ultra’s performance at the Nürburgring Nordschleife racetrack. Also on exhibit here are components for the SU7.

The final leg of the tour took us to the R&D Labs and involved a quick overview of a few of the tests done on the brand’s phones, particularly in terms of connectivity. The facilities here include the OTA Lab, Radiation Lab, and a joint lab with Qualcomm. Unfortunately, we were explicitly told not to take any pictures in this area, with the exception of what the company calls the Patent Wall, which is exactly what it says on the tin.

And thus concludes the brief tour of the Xiaomi headquarters. For the most part, the tour does feel like an appetiser handed out in anticipation of the main event, with the company handing out bite-sized morsels of information. The headquarters is not open to the public, but during events like the Xiaomi Fan Festival, fans may be invited for a visit.

We should note that the company will be taking us to its EV factory in Beijing next. However, since Xiaomi prohibits any video or picture taking there, we might not be able to provide full coverage of the visit.
