Last month, ASUS announced the MD101 Fragrance Mouse, which as the name suggests, is a mouse with a built-in scent diffuser. Now, the optical mouse is available for purchase on the brand’s official online store and 16 select ASUS stores in the country for RM169.
To recap, the wireless mouse comes in two colour options, Iridescent White and Rose Clay. The fragrance compartment is found at the base of the mouse and includes a removable vial that can be filled with scented oils of the user’s choice. It is worth noting that the company warns against using 100% pure essential oils, suggesting instead oils for reed diffusers, ultrasonic diffusers, and aroma stones.
As for the other specifications, the mouse weighs about 66g without the battery and fragrance, features three buttons, and has a maximum DPI of 2,400. According to ASUS, the switches offer a 10-million-click lifespan. Additionally, a single AA battery will keep the mouse powered for up to a year.
To celebrate the launch of the ASUS MD101 Fragrance Mouse, the brand is offering an exclusive deal until 20 July 2025. Customers purchasing the mouse from the participating stores are entitled to receive a free fragrance oil while stocks last.
