Maybank’s online services, including their dedicated MAE app which supports QR Payments are currently experiencing service downtime. Maybank’s Business banking services under the M2U BIZ app are also currently not accessible.
A notice was posted on Maybank’s social media channels at around 9.07PM confirming the outage, which is believed to have started at least half an hour earlier.
Some customers have also claimed that similar issues are cropping up at Maybank’s ATM machines, but we are not able to independently verify this claim. Maybank’s official social media message as seen above have not explicitly mentioned of the issues affecting their teller machines. Maybank2U web is still accessible at time of writing, but transactions on the website still seems to be glitching.
Those who are cashless and are trying to make payments via QR code are advised to switch to other payment methods as there doesn’t seem to be an immediate timeline of when services will return to normal.
