Huawei Malaysia today has officially launched the MatePad Pro 12.2” (2025), its latest flagship tablet designed for those seeking a PC-like experience in a more portable form. Built to handle productivity and creativity tasks on the go, it integrates powerful hardware, smart accessories and advanced software to offer an all-in-one device that bridges the gap between laptops and tablets.

For starters, the tablet features a 12.2-inch Tandem OLED PaperMatte Display with a 2.8K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR Vivid support. Engineered with anti-glare nano-texture coating, the screen reduces ambient light interference by 99%, making it suitable for use in various environments. The display is also certified by TÜV Rheinland and SGS for low blue light and eye comfort.

Internally, the MatePad Pro 12.2 (2025) is powered by an undisclosed first-party flagship chipset and is enhanced with a new heat dissipation system that improves overall performance by up to 30%. This is paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It also houses a large 10,100 mAh battery that supports fast charging, reaching full capacity in just 55 minutes.

Other features include quad speakers, a fingerprint sensor and support for the included HUAWEI Glide detachable keyboard, which includes a built-in stylus slot for the optional HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd Gen) powered by the brand’s NEARLINK technology, allowing for seamless charging and pairing. Speaking of connectivity, the MatePad Pro 12.2 features support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 with BLE, and NFC. Its imaging system comprises a 50MP primary camera on its back, and an 8MP up in front.

On the software side, it runs on Huawei’s Harmony OS and comes pre-installed with a PC-level version of WPS Office featuring multi-tab browsing, desktop-style shortcuts, and advanced formatting tools. The brand’s ecosystem integration is reflected in features like Smart Multi-Window, App Multiplier, and the new Live-Multitask interface, which supports up to three apps running simultaneously with adjustable tile-style layouts. Meanwhile, creative tools such as Huawei Notes and GoPaint offer AI-enhanced handwriting, animation support, and pro-grade brush options for artists and content creators.

The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2” (2025) is now available for pre-order in Malaysia, priced at RM3,599. Those interested can place their orders for the new tablet via the brand’s official Experience Stores, its website, as well as authorised platforms including Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
