Garmin has officially announced its new Venu X1 smartwatch for the Malaysian market. Introduced globally last week, the wearable is touted to come with the largest display ever offered on a Venu-branded model, whilst maintaining an impressively slim profile.

To recap, the Garmin Venu X1 features a 2-inch square-shaped AMOLED panel protected by a sapphire lens. Despite the larger display, it maintains a slim 8mm profile, while its lightweight titanium case ensures added comfort. Also included is a 24mm ComfortFit nylon band which matches the wearable’s two colourways: Black, and Moss.

The smartwatch is equipped with a built-in speaker and microphone for voice calls when connected to a compatible smartphone. Additionally, users can issue voice commands via the latter in order to initiate workouts, set timers, and more. There’s also a built-in LED flashlight with four adjustable brightness levels.

The Venu X1 introduces full-colour mapping and includes over 100 built-in activity profiles, expanding significantly on the capabilities of its predecessors. Health features cover essentials such as real-time heart rate monitoring, pulse oximetry, altitude data, and training readiness insights.

Battery life is rated at up to eight days in standard smartwatch mode. Garmin notes that enabling the Always-On display feature will reduce the wearable’s runtime to just two days.
