DJI makes gimbals and action cams, but the brand is by far most well known for its camera-equipped flying drones. But it looks like the company is in the process of releasing one that doesn’t fly, In fact, it doesn’t snap photos or take videos at all, judging from its product category. It’s called the Romo, and it is a robot vacuum.

SCMP cites a report by China Securities Daily, which claims to have heard from inside sources that the DJI Romo has been in development for four years, and is slated for launch later this month. No other details about the robot vacuum was mentioned in the report, beyond the fact that the brand will be facing strong competition in a very saturated home market.

That being said, we may have a partial glimpse of the DJI Romo, and the way users interact with it, in the form of a couple of app screenshots. These come courtesy of Italian architecture and design publication Domus, which may have sourced the images from Chinese platform Baidu. From one of these screenshots, it looks like the robot vacuum will be sporting a partially transparent look, the sort you’d see on a Nothing Phone, for example.

While the DJI Romo may be launching later this month, it’s quite possible that said launch is for its home market only. With details being so scarce, it remains to be seen if this is a product that will be available in markets beyond the Great Wall.
