Earlier this week, Nothing announced that it will launch the Phone (3) on 1 July 2025 at 6PM BST, or 2 July 2025 at 1AM in local time. Now, it turns out that the smartphone won’t be the only thing to be unveiled on that day. Nothing CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the brand’s first over-ear headphones will also be released.
The CEO also confirmed the name of the audio product is the Headphone (1), which is to be expected given the brand’s naming convention. The Headphone (1) is Nothing’s first ever over-ear headphones, as the company has only ever produced earbuds thus far.
At the moment, not a lot is known about the headphones. The company’s design team briefly discussed the goals for the product in a YouTube video, but did not mention any specifications. Nothing claimed that the headphones will “punch above their weight” while remaining at an affordable price. On that note, a previous leak claimed that the device will cost US$299 (~RM1268).
Beyond that, it is quite likely that the Headphone (1) is the result of the company’s collaboration with fellow British brand KEF. The partnership was announced roughly a week before Nothing confirmed its plans to release over-ear headphones. While the official statement on the collaboration offered no details, it’s not an unreasonable assumption given the timing.
