Razer HyperFlux V2 Mousepad Charges Some Wireless Mice

Well, four specific models by the brand itself, anyway.

In the pursuit of variety, gaming peripheral brand Razer has made some pretty wacky mousepads. One example was the Firefly line, which was a pad that you need to plug in because it had RGB lighting. More recently, there’s the HyperFlux V2 which, in addition to serving its original purpose, also serves as a wireless charging pad for certain wireless mice.

Well, specifically four models by Razer, which are the Basilisk V3 Pro and its 35K update, as well as the Naga V2 Pro and Cobra Pro. The HyperFlux V2 comes with a puck that fits the four mice mentioned. All you have to do is to put the puck on the mouse in question, and start using it immediately. You also get an LED indicator to tell you the level of charge your current mouse has. You’ll of course have to plug the mousepad to your PC.

Beyond that, the Razer HyperFlux V2 mousepad also comes with the brand’s HyperSpeed Multi-Device Support, allowing it to act as a hub for other Razer peripherals supporting the HyperSpeed Wireless tech. Unfortunately, you’ll still have to charge up your wireless keyboard at some point manually.

The Razer HyperFlux V2 has two variants, as the brand’s mousepads usually do – a Hard Surface Edition and a Cloth Surface Edition. The former emphasises quick swipes while the latter is more for controlled movements.

Of the two, the former will be available first, being priced at US$119.99 (~RM510). The latter doesn’t get a date beyond the usual “coming soon”. For what it’s worth, the hard mat variant is listed on the local site with no price, but a shipping date of 11 June at the earliest, at least at the time of writing. Unfortunately, the soft mat variant also only gets “coming soon” on the local site.
