vivo has officially launched its latest flagship tablet, the Pad5, which is the vanilla version of the Pro model that debuted last month. It is largely similar to its predecessor, the Pad3, except with a brighter screen, a new aspect ratio, and an upgraded chipset, switching from Qualcomm to MediaTek.
The Pad5 sports a 12.1-inch 2.8K 16:10 LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 900 nits. Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus SoC with support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. For thermals, the tablet uses a 34200mm² superconducting 3D heat dissipation system to keep it from overheating.

On the imaging side, it gets the same setup as last year with an 8MP rear camera as well as a 5MP front snapper. The battery capacity also remains the same at 10,000mAh with support for 44W charging. As for the software, it ships with OriginOS 5 based on Android 15.
The Pad5 gets a starting price of CNY2,399 (~RM1,412) for the base configuration. As of writing, the brand has not announced plans for global availability, but then again, it has yet to bring any of its tablets to Malaysia.
