WhatsApp has announced that it is adding four new features to WhatsApp Status that provide the user with more avenues for self-expression. In a blog post, the company explained that the new features are intended to let the user add more personality to each status update.
Among the new additions is the Layout feature, which allows the user to turn up to six pictures into a collage. The app provides different arrangement options for the images based on how many are included in the collage. Next, WhatsApp has expanded on the app’s music feature to let users create status updates focused on a specific song, or create a music sticker.

Speaking of stickers, there is now a Photo Sticker option that gives the user the ability to turn their photos into stickers that can be attached to their status. Finally, the Add Yours feature is a sticker that can be attached to an image, allowing the user to add a prompt to their status and invite others to share their own opinions. Those viewing the status can re-share the prompt to their own statuses, potentially sparking conversations with their audience as well.
According to WhatsApp, the new features are getting rolled out soon and will be available to all users in the coming months. As it seems like the company is gradually releasing these features, some users will likely have to wait before they can try them out.
