The realme GT 7 range was launched with a 7,000 mAh battery, with is pretty large compared to what is considered the norm for smartphones. But the company claims that it will be pushing the envelope even further, with claims that it will release a phone with a 7,500 mAh battery before the year ends.
According to Android Headlines, the company says that pushing battery capacities is part of a larger strategy. Just like the way OPPO and vivo are associated with camera advancements, realme wants to be known for “battery innovation”.
With that in mind, the company says that it will be launching a phone with a 7,500 mAh battery before the year ends. The report claims that this will the realme GT 8 Pro, which will arrive in fall, which will be between late September and late December.
In a separate report, Android Headlines says that the company will also be releasing another entry into its numbered series, also by the end of the year. This one will instead have a 10,000 mAh battery instead.
Which is a pretty odd change in direction as the brand’s numbered series has always tried to be the mid-range line with good value. Either way, we’ll find out more was we get closer to the end of the year.
