OPPO has introduced another model to the A5 family with the A5x 5G. It is very similar to the 4G version that was released earlier this month, but it gets a different chipset as well as an upgraded display.
The A5x 5G is fitted with a 6.67-inch 720p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up from the 4G’s 90Hz refresh rate, along with a peak global brightness of 1,000 nits. Internally, the budget smartphone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, and a headphone jack.

For imaging, the affordable device features a 32MP main camera, a depth sensor, and a 5MP selfie snapper. Backing it is a huge 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W charging. Additionally, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as an IP65 rating and a MIL-STD-810H rating for durability.
The A5x 5G gets a retail price of INR13,999 (~RM694) in India. As of now, the brand has not revealed any details about global availability for the 5G variant, however, the 4G version has appeared on the SIRIM database, so we can expect at least one model to be released in Malaysia soon.
