Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will be temporarily changing its schedule for its route in the Klang Valley from 24 to 26 May to improve system efficiency and train operation safety. These scheduling changes will be made in order to facilitate its signal system upgrade works between the Kepong Station and Salak Selatan Station.

KTMB stated via media release that, throughout the implementation of these changes, the Pulau Sebang-Batu Caves-Pulau Sebang and Tanjung Malim-KL Sentral-Tanjung Malim routes will experience delays to its original schedule of up to 50 minutes. The Electric Train Services (ETS) are also stated to have an expected delay in schedule.

Two ETS services will also be experiencing platform changes in KL Sentral Station and Kuala Lumpur station on 24 May. These are the EG9425 (Padang Besar- Segamat) and the EG9321 (Butterworth- Segamat). According to KTMB, there will be officers dispatched at the stations to provide assistance to passengers.

All passengers are advised to plan their journeys early, and keep themselves updated on the train schedules via MyRailtime on the KTMB Mobile app. Passengers are also urged to stay alert to station announcements and updates made on KTMB’s official social media channels. SMS notifications will apparently be sent to affected ETS passengers to provide them an early notice regarding any potential scheduling delays.
