In addition the launch of its C2 Surveillance systems, Synology also launched its PAS7700 active-active NVMe all-flash storage solutions at Computex 2025.
Specs-wise, the PAS7700 integrates two controllers, is able to house 48 NVMe SSDs within a 4U chassis, and has the ability to scale up to 1.65 Petabytes (PB) of raw capacity, with enough room for an additional seven expansion units. Further, its memory is upgradable to 2,048GB, and even supports high-speed 100GbE networking.
With regards to performance, Synology says that the PAS7700 leverages an end-to-end NVMe design that allows it to achieve up to two million IOPS and 30GB/s sequential throughput at load.
“PAS7700 is the culmination of Synology’s 25 years of engineering experience in data management and storage,” Kenneth Hsu, Director of the System Group at Synology, says. “By combining our deep software and hardware development expertise with close collaboration with partners and enterprise customers, we’ve engineered PAS7700 to deliver ultra-high performance at a price point previously unseen in the enterprise storage market.”
The Synology PAS7700 is scheduled for release in the second half of this year. At the time of writing, no local pricing was provided.
