AEON Bank, the digital bank by AEON, has announced that its debit card now comes with free ATM withdrawals. While users previously had to pay the standard RM1 fee when withdrawing from MEPS ATMs, the fee will now be waived for all ATMs throughout Malaysia.

Simply put, you will still be charged RM1 when using the debit card to make an ATM withdrawal, but you will then get automatically reimbursed through your AEON Bank savings account. This is similar to GXBank’s mechanism, although it does not seem to have a monthly limit to how many times you can withdraw.

According to its T&C, the ATM withdrawal fee waiver is a limited-time promotion, which will last from now until 31 December 2025. Notably, every other ongoing promotion by AEON Bank is set to expire on 31 May 2025, so we can expect the digital bank to announce a whole new lineup of offers soon.

Among the perks that will be ending this month include the 3% profit rate for savings pots, the 0.88% profit rate for savings accounts, free AEON Mall parking, the referral programme, points cashback for debit card purchases, and the debit card issuance fee waiver. The last time the bank changed its profit rate, it was reduced by a significant amount, so it would not be a surprise if the upcoming rate will be lower than the current one.
