realme will be launching more affordable models of the GT 7 lineup this month, following the release of the Pro model. The brand will have a global debut for both the vanilla GT 7 and 7T on 27 May 2025, but it is unclear when exactly it will be landing in Malaysia.
While the company has not officially revealed the price or availability, a local retailer has jumped the gun and listed the upcoming series up for pre-order, with price tags and all. According to the listing, the GT 7 will retail at RM2,599 for a 12GB+512GB configuration, the same starting price as the GT 6 but with double the storage. On the other hand, the yet-to-be-revealed GT 7T will be available at RM1,999 with a 12GB+256GB pairing.

While the Chinese model of the GT 7 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus chip, the global version has been confirmed to run on the new Dimensity 9400e. The brand has also revealed that it will be powered by a large 7,000mAh battery with support for 120W charging, meaning a slightly smaller battery than its Chinese counterpart with faster charging.

According to rumours, the global model will get an additional 50MP telephoto lens on top of the 50MP main camera and the 8MP ultra-wide. Unfortunately, the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner could be replaced with a an optical sensor, but this is unconfirmed.

As for the more affordable 7T variant, it will allegedly sport a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an HDR peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Under the hood, it will reportedly feature a Dimensity 8400 Max SoC together with the same 7,000mAh cell with 120W charging.
For imaging, the 7T is said to feature a 50MP primary shooter and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Up front, it could house a 32MP selfie snapper.
