Infinix has announced that the latest addition to its GT series and successor of the GT 20 Pro, the GT 30 Pro, is set to launch in Malaysia soon. The gaming smartphone’s debut will be streamed on the company’s official Facebook and TikTok accounts on Wednesday, 21 May 2025 at 3PM. As you may recall, a listing of the phone was previously discovered in SIRIM’s database, signifying its imminent arrival to the local market.

According to Infinix, the GT 30 Pro sports a 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz, which is optimised for all-day eye comfort to facilitate long gaming sessions free of visual fatigue. Additionally, the GT 30 Pro sports RGB lighting to give the device its distinctive look and feel.

The company confirms that the phone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, but offers no further details on the device. However, it has been speculated that the GT 30 Pro will have variants offering 8GB of RAM and 12GB of RAM, although it is uncertain whether both configurations will be available in the local market. The phone is also rumoured to be powered by a 5,500mAh battery with support for 67W charging. It is also expected to ship with Android 15, likely through Infinix’s own XOS.

The device is also said to feature a 108MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens on the rear, while the front camera is reportedly a 13MP selfie snapper. That said, we will only have confirmation on the gaming phone’s full specifications including its price when it launches next week.
