realme has confirmed that the latest additions to its GT 7 series of smartphones will be launching in Malaysia soon. As you may recall, the base model as well as a newer “T” variant has recently been spotted in SIRIM, indicating their imminent arrival. Meanwhile, the series’ Pro variant had already made its debut locally back in November of last year.

Recapping its Chinese launch in April, the realme GT 7 offers a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a peak HDR brightness of 6,500 nits, and a global peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Additionally, it has an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance along with an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Inside, the flagship runs on Dimensity 9400 Plus chip that is paired with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. Backing it is a hefty 7,200mAh battery with support for 100W charging and bypass charging. For photography, the phone is fitted with a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP front shooter.

Meanwhile, the realme GT 7T is speculated to be a rebadged Neo 7 SE. If true, it would sport a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak HDR brightness of 6,000 nits, and a peak global brightness of 1,600 nits.

Internally, the SE runs on  a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Max chipset with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. Powering the mid-ranger is a humongous 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W charging. As for imaging, it is fitted with a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP front sensor.

Unfortunately, apart from a visual teaser, realme did not mention when exactly the Malaysian launch for the new GT 7 models will take place. Chances are, it might still happen sometime later this month.
