Much has been said about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 foldables ahead of their scheduled launch in July, including the supposed cameras, dimensions, as well as chipset. This time, the subject matter is the respective battery capacities of the devices. The smartphones have reportedly undergone UL Demko certification in Denmark, and information on the batteries can be found on the certification database.
The Fold7’s cells are listed under the model numbers “EB-BF966ABE” and “EB-BF967ABE”, with capacities of 2,126mAh and 2,146mAh respectively, for a total of 4,272mAh. Samsung will likely market it as 4,400mAh typical capacity, meaning the Fold7 will have the same battery capacity as the Fold6 and its other brethren.
Conversely, the Flip7 will see a slight increase in battery capacity compared to its predecessor. The Flip7’s batteries, listed as “EB-BF766ABE” and “EB-BF767ABE”, have capacities of 1,189mAh and 2,985mAh respectively, bringing the total to 4,174mAh. It will likely be marketed as 4,300mAh, which is 300mAh higher than the Flip6. This reveal is in line with the previous leak, although it does not necessarily mean all the other claims are accurate.

The battery capacity of the Fold smartphones is not the only thing Samsung is keeping constant. Both the Fold7 and Flip7 will support 25W wired charging, which has been the case since 2022 for the Flip series and 2020 for the book-style foldables.
