Samsung has announced that it is adding a feature to select Galaxy A series devices that allows users to directly access Gemini using the side button. With this feature, which is already available on the company’s Galaxy S series, users can simply press and hold the side button to activate the AI assistant.
The upcoming update is intended to make it easier and faster for users to complete daily tasks with the help of Google’s Gemini AI. Some examples of this include using voice commands to check their schedule, locate nearby restaurants, or seek recommendations. Users can also use a single command to perform tasks across multiple apps, be it Samsung, Google, or certain third-party apps.
Previously, Samsung introduced Awesome Intelligence with its latest Galaxy A series models, which provides users with AI-powered tools for everyday applications. Now, the upcoming update will make it more convenient for users to incorporate AI in their daily lives as they will also have Gemini at their disposal with just a simple and quick gesture.
According to Samsung, the update will be rolled out globally to select Galaxy A series models starting from early May. It’s possible that the update will be released gradually, so users only need to wait to receive the feature.
