Nothing has announced the rollout of its Nothing X 3.0 software update for the Phone (3a) series. The update is packed with numerous UI and performance improvements, with the highlight being the addition of 4K recording when using the telephoto lenses.
With the new update, both the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro now support 4K 30FPS recording even when using the telephoto lens, which kicks in at 2x and 3x respectively. Moreover, the phones are getting improved selfies with more skin detail and colour balance, clearer night shots under streetlights, filter support for 50MP images, brighter low-light telephoto images, and less flicker in slow-motion and zoom footage.
Aside from the camera improvements, Nothing X 3.0 also introduces some minor UI updates as well as support for the Buds 2 series. Part of the new UI includes easier access to Privacy Space, separate passwords for App Locker and Privacy Space, Hotspot Manager, and general stability improvements.
To get the latest update, go into the settings of your phone and find “System updates” under the system tab. Nothing says that the updates are being rolled out gradually, so not everyone will be getting it right away.
