Astro has been adding new streaming platforms as options to its own service, and a new one has just been announced, with immediate availability. It’s Sun NXT which, if you’re unfamiliar, provides Indian entertainment content in six languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi.
The company says that Sun NXT is available to Astro customers in two tiers. One is the Lite tier, which is free for all Indian Favourites and Maharaja Pack subscribers. This includes six of the platforms channels, which are Sun TV HD, Sun Music HD, Sun Life, Sun News, Adithya, and KTV, as well as “over 2,000 hours of on-demand content”.
Then there’s the Premium tier, which is available to any Astro customer, for an additional RM25 a month on top of their usual monthly subscription fee. This unlocks access to up to 34 channels from the platform and over 50,000 hours of on-demand content. You can find out more about the add on by hitting this link.
In addition to Sun NXT, Astro has also announced that, for the whole month of May, it will have a pop up channel SCREAM on channel 100. As befitting the name, this will feature “over 160 scream-worthy titles aross eight languages – Tamil, Malay, English, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Indonesian, and Thai. This one is free for all TV, On Demand and Astro Go customers, with selected titles also available on sooka.
