Alongside the launch of the Phone 2 Pro, CMF has also introduced a new range of wireless earphones, consisting of the Buds 2a, Buds 2 and Buds 2 Plus. Each model is designed to cater to different user needs, offering a variety of features across entry-level, mid-range, and premium segments.
The CMF Buds 2, previously announced ahead of time, sits in the mid-range category. It features 11mm dynamic drivers built with PMI and PU diaphragms, supported by Dirac Opteo audio tuning, Spatial Audio Effect, and Ultra Bass Technology. Users benefit from up to 48dB of hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC), with six HD microphones and the latest Clear Voice Technology 3.0 and Wind Noise Reduction 3.0 for improved call quality. Battery life is rated at up to 55 hours without ANC and 32 hours with ANC enabled. The Buds 2 also support adaptive ANC, transparency mode, IP55 water resistance, and touch controls.

Next we have the high-end entry, the CMF Buds 2 Plus. Equipped with 12mm drivers using LCP and PU diaphragms, it supports Hi-Res Audio via the LDAC codec, alongside features such as Personal Sound Profile, Ultra Bass Technology 2.0, and Spatial Audio Effect. The Buds 2 Plus offers up to 50dB of hybrid ANC, and shares the same Clear Voice Technology 3.0 and Wind Noise Reduction 3.0 improvements. Battery life is slightly higher, reaching up to 61.5 hours without ANC and 33 hours with it turned on. Additional features include low latency mode, in-ear detection, and fast charging capabilities.

Lastly, there’s the entry-level CMF Buds 2a, designed for everyday users looking for essential features in a lightweight form factor. It offers 42dB active noise cancellation, 12.4mm bio-fibre drivers for enhanced bass, and is fitted with four HD microphones supported by Clear Voice Technology and Wind Noise Reduction 2.0. The Buds 2a can deliver up to 35.5 hours of listening time without ANC and around 23 hours with ANC active. An IP54 rating ensures durability against dust and water, and the buds support Bluetooth 5.4 with dual device connectivity.

All three models share several core features, including Bluetooth 5.4, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, dual device connection, and touch control. They are also compatible with the Nothing X app, which allows users to customise settings and integrate ChatGPT for voice commands.

The CMF Buds 2 are priced at RM199 and are available in Grey, Green, and Orange. The Buds 2a retail for RM159 in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Orange. Meanwhile, the Buds 2 Plus are available online-only in Blue and Grey, priced at RM229. Local pre-orders for all three are available starting today, with open sales starting on 6 May 2025.
