Last week, realme unveiled the GT 7, the vanilla companion to the Pro model from last year. While the non-Pro version gets a MediaTek processor instead of one from Qualcomm, it still packs some flagship-level specs.
The brand has yet to reveal when the new flagship will be available in Malaysia, but we now know that we can expect a local price reveal relatively soon. The GT 7 was listed on the SIRIM database on 25 April with the model number RMX5061, a move which usually hints of an imminent arrival.
To recap, the GT 7 comes with a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a peak HDR brightness of 6,500 nits, and a global peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Inside, the flagship runs on Dimensity 9400 Plus chip that is paired with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.
For photography, the phone is fitted with a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP front shooter. Backing it is a hefty 7,200mAh battery with support for 100W charging and bypass charging. Additionally, it gets an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance along with an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Keep in mind that these are the specs for the variant released in China, while rumours claim that the global version might get a few downgrades.
