As unfolded during the Shanghai Auto Show, Leapmotor is expanding its new B-series segment EVs, which will cover multiple products including SUVs and saloons. One of which is the all-new new B10 sedan.
Citing information published by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, ArenaEV says the B01 has a wheelbase of 2.7 metres and overall dimensions of 4.7 x 1.8 x 1.4 metres. It will be available in eight exterior colours, including the unusual “Morgan Pink”, as well as two colour choices for the interior. The latter features a 14.6-inch infotainment system and chrome accents to its overall decor.
Regarding the powertrain, buyers will have a choice of two electric motors, with maximum power outputs of 160 kW (215 horsepower) and 132 kW (177 horsepower) respectively. A larger 67.1 kWh battery could offer a driving range of nearly 600km, while the standard 56.2 kWh battery should provide around 510km. These range figures are based on the Chinese testing cycle.
Additionally, the Leapmotor B01, built on the company’s LEAP 3.5 technology platform, promises an exceptional cockpit experience for its class and boasts advanced smart driving capabilities. It also features the Qualcomm 8155 chipset, which is said to deliver rapid responses under all circumstances.
Information about pricing has not yet been revealed by the automaker. However, according to ArenaEV, the B01 could cost between EUR12,000 and EUR18,000 (~RM59,880 to RM89,820), though do take that with a grain of salt.
