vivo has officially debuted the latest additions to its flagship lineup in China, the X200 Ultra and the X200s. The company toutes X200 Ultra to rival digital cameras, while the X200s is a thin and compact phone that boasts a massive battery.

The X200 Ultra sports a 10-bit 6.82-inch 1440 x 3168 LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. A standout feature is the V key on the right side of the phone, which is intended to function as a shutter trigger like with digital cameras, but is essentially a customisable button. The phone also comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the X200 Ultra is packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with either 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, as well as storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The 16GB + 1TB version has the added bonus of support for satellite communications. Powering the device is a 6,000mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. As for software, it ships with OriginOS 5 based on Android 15.

Of course, the star of the show is the X200 Ultra’s camera. The three lenses on the rear are a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.28” Sony LYT-818 sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, a 200MP telephoto lens with a 1/1.4” Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor, and another 50MP Sony LYT-818 for ultra-wide shots. As for the front, there is a 50MP selfie snapper.

While this alone isn’t particularly surprising given the quality of phone cameras today, the X200 Ultra comes with an optional add-on zoom lens which adds an additional 2.35x zoom. The lens is included in a photography set that features lenses, straps, a case that attaches to a grip with USB-C, and a separate 2,300mAh battery.

The vivo X200 Ultra comes in Black, Red, and White, and has a starting price of CNY6,499 (~RM3,893) for the 12GB + 256GB configuration. The 16GB + 1TB variant is priced at CNY7,999 (~RM4,792), and is the only one that can be purchased with the photography set, which would bring the total price to CNY9,699 (~RM5,810). The phone is likely exclusive to China, with no immediate plans to release it to the global market.

Meanwhile, the X200s is what vivo calls the natural evolution of the X100s that was released last year. It features a 6.67-inch 1260 x 2800 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Like the X200 Ultra, the X200s features an under-display fingerprint scanner.

For internals, the X200s is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 9400+ chipset paired with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Overall, there are five different memory configurations to choose from. The X200s has a 6,200mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, making it the phone with the most battery capacity out of all of vivo’s X lineup. For software, the X200s runs on Android-based OriginOS 5.

The X200s comes in Black, White, Green, and Lavender Purple, and has a starting price of CNY4,199 (~RM2,515). Like the X200 Ultra, the X200s may also be  a China-only exclusive.
