U Mobile has updated its U Prepaid Borneo 20 plan to increase part of its data allocation. The plan, which has separate quotas for 5G and 4G, now offers an additional 80GB of 4G internet at no extra cost, with the package remaining at RM20/month.
The revised prepaid plan now includes 2TB of 5G data and a whopping 200GB of 4G data, along with unlimited hotspot usage for the quotas as well as unlimited local calls. Meanwhile, its postpaid Borneo plans come with unlimited data starting from RM38/month, with no Fair Usage Policy (FUP) cap — the U Borneo Postpaid 38 plan currently has a RM10/month rebate promotion, which lowers the price to RM28/month until further notice.
As with its postpaid plans, the prepaid version only allows this huge quota to be used within Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan. If you are on this plan and want to use it in Peninsular Malaysia, keep in mind that you will be limited to a total 5G+4G quota of just 10GB.
While only the prepaid plan got a data bump, U Mobile did not leave out upgrades for its postpaid users in East Malaysia. The U Postpaid Borneo 68 plan previously included 200GB roaming in Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore, but now it also comes with free incoming calls from those three countries.
