Yesterday, HONOR teased an upcoming “affordable iPhone killer” lineup and now, the brand has officially confirmed that the first of the three will be the 400 Lite. The company’s Facebook post mentions that it is the first of the 400 series, so it is possible that other 400 models will also be a part of its “budget iPhone” lineup.
For now, the company has not yet revealed the launch date and pricing of the 400 Lite for the Malaysian market. However, ahead of its launch, several local retailers have already listed the phone up for sale with a price tag of RM1,299. This means it will cost the same as last year’s 200 Lite, but with more RAM and less storage with a 12GB+256GB configuration, although it is possible the brand could introduce more configurations at launch.

As a refresher, the 400 Lite features a 6.7-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak HDR brightness of 3,500 nits. Inside, the mid-ranger runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. Protection-wise, it comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

For imaging, it gets a simple setup with a 108MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP selfie shooter. Backing it is a 5,230mAh battery with support for 35W charging. Similar to Apple’s Camera Control, the 400 Lite features a dedicated camera shutter button on the side with a visual intelligence feature.
