vivo has officially announced a local launch date for its new entry-level smartphone, the Y04. The upcoming device will be making its Malaysian debut on 19 April 2025, but ahead of the official price reveal, local retailers have already put the phone up for sale.
According to a listing by Satu Gadget, the Y04 will be retailing at RM399. The affordable phone will be available in black, gold, and purple colour options, along with a single configuration that comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage, although it is unknown if the brand will offer more configurations at launch.
As a refresher, the Y04 is fitted with a 6.74-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 570 nits. As for the SoC, the phone runs on a Unisoc T7225 chip with support for 4G, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi 5. On the protection side, it comes with drop and shock resistance as well as an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

Photography-wise, the entry-level device features a 13MP main camera, a depth sensor, and a 5MP front shooter. Backing the phone is a 5,500mAh battery with support for 15W charging while for software, it ships with Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.
