If you go over to the page for the new Razer Blade 16 right now, you’ll see that the laptop, along with other models, are no longer there and will be greeted with a Error 404 instead. The brand took down all marketing details and pricing for the laptop, presumably because of the US tariffs that are about to kick in.
The Trump tariffs have sent the global market into a tizzy, and brands like Razer are obviously scrambling to readjust the pricing of its inventory, old and new. And while it hasn’t openly spoken about it, when asked if the tariffs would affect Razer’s prices and availability for its products, it simply said that it didn’t have a comment at this time.
Razer Blade laptops are famously and, to a degree, traditionally sold at a premium. The Blade 16 lineup, for example, can cost RM18,000 on average, and that’s not even for the fully loaded model. The new model, which was announced during CES 2025, and features a newly designed thinner and lighter chassis, didn’t even have a price tag on it before the page was taken offline.
That said, Razer had told us on the side that it still doesn’t have any plans on bringing its Blade laptop range back into Malaysia. And while their pricing has always been a sore point with consumers, it does limit the number of gaming laptop brands in the market. So, hopefully the brand will reconsider bringing it back here.
