Along with several other announcements during its GrabX event today, Grab has also introduced a series of new features designed to improve convenience and affordability for users of its food delivery service across Southeast Asia. The updates include GrabFood for One, a Shared Saver option, a new large order delivery system.

GrabFood for One

Grab has launched GrabFood for One to cater to the increasing demand for solo dining options. The feature curates single-portion meals from participating restaurants and highlights promotions specifically for individual orders. Grab said the aim is to help users find affordable, appropriately sized meals more easily without needing to browse full menus.

Shared Saver

To reduce delivery costs, Grab has rolled out Shared Saver, a batch delivery option that groups multiple food orders travelling in the same direction. Users who opt into Shared Saver will pay lower delivery fees in exchange for a potentially longer wait time.

Large Order Delivery

Lastly, the company introduced a feature to improve the handling of large food orders. When an order is too large for a single restaurant or driver to fulfil efficiently, the system can now split the order across multiple delivery partners. According to Grab, this will help ensure that all items arrive fresh and on time, particularly for bulk orders from restaurants with limited preparation or packaging capacity.

Grab stated that these enhancements are part of its strategy to offer a more efficient, personalised, and cost-effective food delivery experience across the region. GrabFood for One is now available in Singapore and Malaysia, with plans for a broader regional rollout. Shared Saver is currently available in Singapore, with upcoming launches in Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Meanwhile, the large order delivery feature is live in Singapore and Malaysia, and will expand to other markets.
