Samsung has announced the launch of its refreshed Odyssey range of monitors, which includes the Odyssey 3D, OLED G8, and G9. Unfortunately though, the company has not revealed the prices for them. Instead, you can only register your interest in them, which will then entitle you to some discounts for when their pre-orders open.
First on the list is the Samsung Odyssey 3D, which is technically not a refresh as it’s still the first of its line. While it was first revealed in 27- and 37-inch variants initially, the company is only mentioning the smaller variant this time around. And while it has a 4K QLED panel with a 165Hz variable refresh rate, a 1ms response time and AMD FreeSync support, probably more important than all of that is that it is the first 3D monitor to not need specialised glasses for the feature.

Next on the list is the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8, with a previous iteration having launched in June last year. The company claims that this is its first 4K monitors with a 240Hz refresh rate. With the new one coming in 27- and 32-inch options, it is also NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, as well as having support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

And finally, there’s the Samsung Odyssey G9, which also saw a launch last year. Oddly enough, the refreshed model has its refresh rate dropped from 240Hz ro 144Hz, but on the flip side it has a more pronounced curvature of 1000R as opposed to 1800R. The screen size and resolution remain unchanged, at 49 inches and Dual QHD.

As mentioned, Samsung has not mentioned the prices of any of these Odyssey monitors, only that you can register your interest in them, which you can do by hitting this link. The window to do so is between now and 6 April, which will get you e-vouchers worth RM300, which can then be used when placing the actual pre-order for select models between 7 and 20 April. Do this, and you may be entitled to additional savings of up to RM1,000 on selected models.
