HONOR has introduced the HONOR Pad X9a, the first device from the teaser it shared earlier this week. It is an upgraded version of last year’s HONOR Pad X9, featuring a higher-resolution display, a larger battery, and includes bundled accessories.
The upcoming tablet is equipped with an 11.5-inch LCD display with 2.5K resolution, making it the first tablet in its category to offer this resolution. Additionally, the screen comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as HONOR Eye Comfort technology which helps reduce eye strain during prolonged usage. As for dimensions, the Pad X9a comes in at 267.3mm x 167.4mm x 6.77mm, and weighs in at approximately 475g.

Under its hood is a Snapdragon 685 chipset, along with 16GB RAM and 128GB storage. Powering the tablet is an 8,300mAh battery with 35W fast charging support, which HONOR claims is capable of providing up to 11.5 hours of continuous streaming on iQIYI. Connectivity-wise, the Pad X9a supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. Apparently there’s a version that supports cellular, but HONOR confirms that only the WiFi version will be offered locally.
Imaging-wise, the tablet features an 8MP camera on its back and a 5MP selfie snapper up front. Besides that, it comes with HONOR MagicOS 9.0 (based on Android 15) out of the box, and is also bundled with a free keyboard and stylus.

The HONOR Pad X9a will officially launch in Malaysia on 26 March 2025, with pricing details to be announced on that date.
