ASUS has officially announced the local pricing for the ROG Phone 9 FE. The Fan Edition variant is a more affordable model from the Phone 9 series, offering upper mid-range specs with special tools for gaming as well as some quirky features.
The Phone 9 FE is fitted with a 6.78-inch 1080p LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz, a peak HDR brightness of 2,500 nits, and a peak global brightness of 1,600 nits. Underneath the chassis lies a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, along with a 5,500mAh battery that supports 65W wired and 15W wireless charging.
On the gaming aspect, it has a cooling system with a vapour chamber and a graphite sheet, customisable shoulder triggers, and an AniME programmable mini-LED array on the back. For imaging, it features a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 32MP selfie shooter. Durability-wise, the phone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The ROG Phone 9 FE retails at RM2,999 and is available through the brand’s online store. From now until 30 April 2025, purchases of the phone come with an additional RM300 Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit.
