Maxis has updated the Hotlink website to introduce two new Unlimited prepaid plans, replacing one of its existing plans. While the RM50/month unlimited plan had its speed doubled last year, it has now been replaced with an upgraded package that costs an extra RM5.
Hotlink now offers the RM55/month Unlimited plan, which comes with all-day uncapped speeds and a 200GB Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit, shared hotspot quota, and unlimited calls. There is also the new RM25/month Unlimited plan that is packaged with a 40GB quota and a 6Mbps speed limit, along with unlimited calls and hotspot usage. However, the cheaper plan does offer uncapped speeds between 8PM to 8AM.
Notably, the introduction of the two new prepaid plans is coupled with the disappearance of the RM25/month and RM35/month Pantas plans, which come with 60GB and 100GB of uncapped data respectively. However, while the Pantas plans are no longer advertised on the telco’s website, they are still available for purchase on the Hotlink app, but are now labeled under “Others”.
Additionally, Hotlink has scrapped its RM10 weekly pass, but kept the RM12 weekly pass. It also added a new RM4 daily pass with a 6GB limit capped at 6Mbps with uncapped speeds from 8PM to 8AM.
