Tecno has officially lifted the veil on its new Camon 40 series made up of four models. Besides the vanilla model, the affordable lineup also consists of the Pro 4G, Pro 5G, and Premier 5G variants, with at least one of them being slated for release in Malaysia.
It starts with the basic Camon 40, which sports a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on a MediaTek Helio G100 chipset paired with a 5,200mAh battery that supports 45W charging. For imaging, it features a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a depth sensor, and a 32MP fixed-focus selfie snapper.

The Camon 40 Pro 4G is exactly the same as the vanilla model but with a 50MP front shooter with autofocus. on the other hand, the 5G variant of the Pro is the same as its 4G counterpart with the exception of the processor, replacing it with a Dimensity 7300.

Of course, the top-tier model is the Premier, which is equipped with a 6.67-inch 1260p display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The mid-ranger is fitted with a Dimensity 8350 5G chip with a nominally smaller 5,100mAh battery that charges at 70W. Optics-wise, it gets a 50MP sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, along with the same 50MP selfie camera with autofocus.
The pricing and availability of the Camon 40 series has not been revealed yet. However, we can expect at least one model, the Pro 4G, to be released in Malaysia soon as it has made an appearance on the SIRIM database.
