If you think that Lenovo has designated its ThinkBook business-focused line as where it tests all of its wilder ideas, you’ll probably won’t be alone. At MWC 2025, the company has continued to do so with the latest entry in the series, in what is called the ThinkBook 16p Gen 6. Making it special is not what it is on its own, but the add-ons that come with it, of which there are four.
These add-ons make use of the company’s Magic Bay docking system, so you’ll see the name a fair number of times as we go down the list. The first is the Magic Bay 2nd Display Concept, which just adds a single 8-inch panel that attaches magnetically to the Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 6. Second is the Magic Bay Dual Display Concept, which adds two 13.3-inch screens on each side for when you really need the multi-monitor setup for your work.
Third on the list is the Tiko Pro Concept, the first of these add-ons to sit at the top of the Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 6, rather than its sides. But because it’s quite the narrow horizontal panel, it’s more a home for widgets than any real productivity process. Finally, there is its non-Pro variant, which is a circular screen instead, housing an AI companion which displays “emoji-style status”. This too attaches to the top of the laptop’s display.
As a laptop on its own, the Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 6 is no slouch either, coming with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU. While the screen is of a fixed 16-inch size, options include a 165Hz 3.2K IPS or a 240Hz 2.5K IPS display. Likewise, memory and storage go up to 64GB DDR5 and 2TB PCIe SSD respectively.
On one hand, Lenovo says that the ThinkBook 16p Gen 6 will be available in some markets, though specifics will be announced at a later date. All of its add-ons, on the other hand, probably won’t. This is not only becaue of the Concept in their names, but the company specifically refers to them as “proofs of concepts” in its press release. According to Engadget, the laptop will go on sale in Europe and Asia sometime in spring or summer.
