Infinix has announced the local availability of two new entry-level smartphones, namely the Hot 50i and the Smart 9. It is the first of the Hot 50 series to arrive in Malaysia, coming in two storage configurations and three colour options, namely black, grey, and green.
The Hot 50i sports a 6.7-inch 720p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 500 nits, and the brand’s Dynamic Bar feature. Internally, the phone runs on a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
On the imaging front, the affordable device is fitted with a 48MP main camera, a depth sensor, and an 8MP selfie snapper. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging. For connectivity, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi 5, NFC, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additionally, it gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and ships with XOS 14.5 based on Android 14.
The Hot 50i retails from RM399 for the 4GB+128GB variant and RM469 for the 4GB+256GB variant. It is available for purchase through the brand’s Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok stores.
