The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection which was announced last week is officially confirmed coming to Malaysia. As detailed by Sony’s recent blog post, local pre-orders will commence tomorrow via its official web store as well as authorised local retailers on 26 September 2024 at 10am.
To recap, the collection includes limited edition PlayStation 5 Pro and Digital Edition consoles, PlayStation Portal Remote Player, a DualSense controller, and a DualSense Edge. All of which are decked out in the classic grey colour scheme of the original PS1 video game console. However, it should be noted that the PS5 Pro bundle is not listed for local release.
The PS5 Digital Edition includes a unit of the 30th Anniversary DualSense controller, along with other matching limited edition accessories and bonuses. These include a PS1-styled USB-C cable, four PlayStation Shapes cable ties, PS themed paperclip and stickers, as well as one of 30 limited edition PlayStation posters. There’s also a matching cover for the Disc Drive add-on, which is not bundled together and has to be purchased separately.
The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection will be released on 21 November 2024 around the world. Unfortunately, local pricing for all items are still kept under wraps, and will only be revealed tomorrow. For reference, apart from the official Sony web store, pre-orders for the collection will also be offered by All IT Hypermarket, Impulse Gaming, M4G, Tiny Robot, Urban Republic, and TMT by Thundermatch.
