It has been awhile since the Huawei MateBook D 14 got a refresh, even if the larger D 16 got one as recently as earlier this year. But that is scheduled to change soon, as the company has announced that its 14-inch laptop is available for pre-order, which lasts until 7 September.

As the name suggests, the refreshed Huawei MateBook D 14 comes with a 14-inch screen, but it now sports as 16:10 aspect ratio to go with the Full HD+ resolution. This is paired with an Intel Core i5-13420H CPU with Iris Xe integrated graphics, as well as 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 56Wh battery. This is, for better or worse, the only available configuration for the laptop, and similarly, the only colourway available is Mystic Silver.

For what it’s worth, the Huawei MateBook D 14 of 2024 promises to be a compact and lightweight device for your remote working needs, measuring in at 15.9mm in thickness and 1.39kg in weight. The aforementioned battery also supports 65W charging via USB-C. These are similar to what the previous model offered before the refresh.

As mentioned, the Huawei MateBook D 14 pre-order period lasts until 7 September, with on-shelf availability starting the day after. While the company has gone through great lengths to conceal its cost for whatever reason, its official listing on Shopee does reveal its price of RM3,199. The laptop is also listed on the company’s own official store, as well as on Lazada, even if the price tag is concealed.

Update: Huawei has reached out to us, saying that the price listed on Shopee is for the previous iteration of the laptop. So while this year’s iteration is available for pre-order, it doesn’t have a price attched to it.
