Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Variant Cover Screen Claimed To Share Aspect Ratio With S24 Ultra

It's now also not to be confused with the W25, according to the leakster who made the initial claim.

Up to this point, there have been many conflicting leaks about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold variant, which has gone by many names in recent leaks. Recently, serial leakster Ice Universe has made another claim about this mysterious upcoming foldable that, for what it’s worth, has no contradicting claims as of yet.

The claim in question is that this Samsung Galaxy Z Fold variant will sport an outer screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. This is the same as the S24 Ultra, even if it’s not of the same size. It will still be larger than the recently launched Z Fold6, with a 6.5-inch cover screen as opposed to 6.3. This would also mean a larger main display on the inside to go with it, measuring in at 8 inches.

Chinese site IT Home has shared a screenshot of what looks to be a Weibo post by serial leakster Ice Universe, but we were unable to locate the post in question. This time, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold variant is being referred to as the Slim.

That being the case, an additional screenshot in the report portrays a great example as to why leaks should not be taken seriously, despite their apparent accuracy in recent times. Further down in the report is a screenshot of two posts on the same platform. These were from last month spanning two days, with the first one chronologically being the claim that the Slim is the W25, a model that is exclusive to China, as well as its home market of South Korea. Then two days later, the same leakster has claimed that the two are not to be confused for each other.

With that in mind, so surprise that even the more recent claim of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold variant’s cover display aspect ratio should be taken with the usual grain of salt. More accurate info will likely be leaked over time, culminating in an official launch that is still undated as of yet, even if rumours point to October being a possibility.
