The ASUS ROG Phone series have had collaborations with video games before, which is not surprising as it is a series of gaming phones. Last year, the ROG Phone 6 got one with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang – despite its sequel already making it to the market. Now, the current generation ASUS ROG Phone 8, alongside its Pro model, is getting its turn with a mobile gamine collab, this time with PUBG Mobile.
If you were hoping for a special edition version of the ASUS ROG Phone 8 though, that is unfortunately not happening. Instead, the base model is getting a price cut, down to RM3,599. No such luck for the Pro model, but both versions will also get a free Devilcase Guardiam case, which is compatible with the AeroActive Cooler X, worth RM149, thrown in for free during this promo period.
This promo for the ASUS ROG Phone 8 series is in conjunction with with the launch of PUBG Mobile’s version 3.20 update. So picking up one of the two variants involved in the promo would also get you exclusive in-game items. For those not looking to buy the phone, there is also an in-game giveaway event, which will see players who complete is standing a chance to win the aforementioned ASUS ROG Phone 8.
To recap, this special promo sees the base model of the phone getting an RM400 discount, while both the base and Pro models getting a case worth RM149 thrown in for free if bought during this promo period. If you do buy one of the two, you’ll also get in-game items reflecting the collab between the ASUS ROG Phone 8 and PBG Mobile.
