CelcomDigi is currently experiencing issues with its Celcom network this evening. The telco itself confirmed this via a now-deleted post on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, noting that it is currently attempting to resolve the problem as soon as possible. It is unclear to why it had removed the post.
Many of its users have taken to social media to report the problem, which apparently has been going on for several hours today. Complaints have been very consistent, with many mentioning that they are unable to connect to the internet while utilising Celcom’s network.
In the deleted post, CelcomDigi is urging customers to connect to WiFi networks instead for their connectivity needs while the issue is being resolved. Unfortunately, it did not say how long the unscheduled maintenance is expected to take.
[UPDATE: 21 May 2024 – 9:40pm] CelcomDigi has now put up a new post on X to acknowledge the service disruption that’s currently ongoing on its Celcom network. Much like the initial post which it had taken down earlier, the telco states that it is currently resolving the issue as soon as possible.

[UPDATE: 21 May 2024 – 9:45pm] Celcom subsidiary Yoodo has also confirmed via X that it’s currently experiencing data interruption.

[UPDATE: 21 May 2024 – 9:55pm] CelcomDigi has announced that it has fully restored both Celcom and Yoodo’s internet services. It is also advising customers to restart their devices and reconnect if they’re still unable to go online.
According to users on X, network services are back to normal, though some have noted that speeds are still slower than usual. Unfortunately, the telco did not specify what had caused the hours-long disruption.
